The numbers of unique, duplicated, and triplicated clones are currently based on name only. No genetic information has been used to determine the uniqueness of clones, nor the similarity between accessions.

It is not unusual for material to be given a new name when introduced to a collection (creating a new synonym). Where these events are known, the calculations take this into account, but there are likely to be renaming events that ICGD is as yet unaware of.

This information is provided as a guide only and we invite genebank curators to help keep this information accurate and up-to-date, by providing ICGD with current accession lists and background information on the material being maintained. Please contact the ICGD for further information.

Data Availability

ICGD is continually adding new and historical data, but it can take a bit of time for information to go live on the website, so there will sometimes be information that we are still in the process of uploading.

However, there will always be new data being published, and historical information we are unaware of or have not been able to locate, so please contact the ICGD if you are aware of any information that has yet to be added to the database.
